Anger Management

"Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city."
- Solomon

Everyone experiences the emotion of anger, in fact anger can be a very useful emotion as it tells us that something is wrong. Yet when it is not managed, anger can lead to consequences that can destroy one’s relationships, job security, and physical health. The good news is that managing anger is a learned skill and even if you have learned bad habits in this area, you can unlearn and relearn better ones.

At Riverbend Counselling we provide three ways of taking our professionally facilitated Anger Management Course:

1

In a Small Group Format. We provide a 7 hour anger management on a once a month basis. This intensive, facilitated by our anger management specialist Mark Westman, is recognized in the Manitoba Courts. Whether you are looking to improve your handling of anger in your relationships or you need to meet a requirement from an employer or the judicial system, we can help.

Three Unique Features about our course:

a. We provide it on Saturday so that you don't have to miss work
b. The entire course takes place in one day instead of dragging it out over a period of weeks.
c. Before the course, we meet individually with each client to get to know their particular situation and needs.

Each client receives a certificate of completion plus a referral letter.

Total Cost: $399 + GST (including, materials, certificate, letter, & individual session)

2
Individually. Offering the best combination of flexibility and individual attention, taking our course individually allows a person to complete the course in 6 hours and apply the course materially specifically to their personal situation. Like our group course, each client receives a certificate of completion plus a referral letter.
Total Cost: $540 +GST (including materials, certificate, letter, & individual session) or $90 + GST per session

3

As A Couple. Many couples realize that their anger management skills are directly impacted by ___their spouse or partner and choose to do anger management together to increase the benefits ___of the course. Discussion on how each member of the couple contributes to the conflict cycle ___allows for mutual growth and understanding and quicker resolution to the inevitable conflicts ___that arise in intimate relationships. A passionate, safer, happier relationship is the result.

Total Cost: $600 +GST (includes materials, certificate, letter, & individual session) or $100 + GST per session.

If you have further questions or would like to sign up for the course, please feel free to contact our anger management specialist Mark Westman directly at 204-612-2588 or email him at mark@riverbendcounselling.ca
